A Singles’ Guide to Call Tracking (We do not encourage cheating!)

Yes, the title is a bit ridiculous. However, did it ever occur to you that someone might be calling you when you least expect it. Perhaps you are in a meeting or on a night on the town. Imagine how much more effective you could be in your professional and even your social life, if you had a rare breed of technology at your side. Now, I know what you are thinking. You don’t have a lot of money; you are just a struggling entrepreneur. Well, allow me to introduce you to your affordable, new best friend, the new wingman in town, your one and only — call tracking.

You have been scrounging around looking for a virtual receptionist. You have thought of becoming the awkward person that carries three cell phones. You are sick of getting telemarketer calls from your newspaper advertisement. You got a call from the guy you met last week, but you ignored his call several times because you thought he was a spammer.  If any or all of these statements apply to you, then it’s time to sign up for call tracking. Look up! Did your light bulb just go on? YES! It did, finally! All these issues can be solved by using Century Interactive as your call tracking provider.

Let’s look at this in a reasonable perspective. You are young, smart, single and quick to go for what you want. You are an entrepreneur with a vision but sometimes you simply have to reach out and find the resources that will make you more effective and efficient.

Disguise your personal phone number! Use a tracking line instead of printing or distributing your number to the public. You do not want to confuse your business calls with your personal calls. This way you answer in the most appropriate manner.  Provision a few numbers to put on marketing materials, direct mailings, to use as an office number, etc. Perhaps, you want to target potential clients from all parts of the US. Think ahead and provision a local or toll free number for your clients to call.

The possibilities are endless. There are hundreds of rate centers to choose from. In fact, as a single lady/gentlemen, you might even think this is a good idea for your personal calls. Just think! When you give out your number to that flirtatious (insert favorite actor/actress here) look-alike, you could choose to be from any part of the United States. Perhaps, you are from out of town or perhaps you want them to think that you are; be ready to give out your newly provisioned number! Don’t ruin your chances of meeting the love of your life. Call tracking can help you get organized and gear you up for the fierce competition that’s out there.

Are you thinking you will get confused with all these lines? Add a whisper. Let the whisper tell you the source of the call right when you pick up the call. You could add a whisper like “Craigslist” or “Facebook.” This proves to you which sources are bringing you the most calls

Now, you must be thinking, how to do I apply this to my daily life. Why not have a whisper to remind you where you gave out your number. Provision a line for each spot you hit on Friday night. Perhaps it will be “Barley House” or say you felt bad and you gave your number to the only guy dancing at “Ozona’s.”  Let the ring-to number be anything you want it to be. By adding a whisper, you will get that much needed hint. Let’s face it! You can’t play the game without a few call tracking lines.

The reports will measure the number of calls and you will discover the best leads. See the ROI right before your eyes. Spend your time and money wisely. This could mean you never give out your number at Ozona’s again.  As for those pesky telemarketers, spammers or just plain stalkers, you can say goodbye to them by putting them on a block list. You never have to talk to them again.

When you make outbound calls, track them. These will be included in your call reports. This will give you the ability to boost your sales process and ensure productivity from any phone, whether it’s your office phone, mobile or home phone. In fact, you can make the call from anywhere and it will show up on your reports. Just think about Tiger Woods! I’m sure that as soon as his wife got a hold of his cell phone bill, he was done. Tiger should have used an outbound number.

Have the caller ID say whatever number and name you want. You can be “Dr. Maddox Womble” or “Enrique Iglesias”. However, we do not encourage lying, so you can have caller IDs like “Mike’s Used Cars,” “Wonder Woman” or simply your real name.

I’m sure you are asking, “Why would anyone want to have so many numbers?” The answer: “Why not?” Imagine how productive you can be with all these numbers. You never have to give out your actual cell phone number to a stranger again. You can give out one number for office purposes and another for a night on the town. Don’t let your one-man office become unprofessional. Have a different phone number for each source.

Be smart. Track your calls. Don’t let your personal cell phone be overwhelmed with calls from people you don’t even know. Call tracking lines give you the control you need. Call tracking is life.
